Our Family at Stoney Mesa Winery wants to welcome you to our home.  We have been involved in the Colorado wine industry since 1990 When we planted our first Acre of Gewurztraminer in Cedaredge, Colorado.  Our first vintage released to the public was a 1993 Gewurztraminer.  Since then we are highly regarded as one of the top white wine producers in the state.                On behalf of our family, Bret Neal - Winemaker/Co-Owner

Who Are We Stoney Mesa Wines A benchmark for Colorado wines focusing on high quality at a great price.  We are a pioneer in the art of Western Colorado winegrowing. Riesling is our King, we have produced some of the best Riesling in the state since our first Silver Medal back in 1999. It was produced from our eventually to be owned, Ptarmigan Vineyards. The 2.5 Acre block was planted in 1982 by an early pioneer in the Colorado wine industry.  In 2001 We purchased the vineyard, and have since added our tasting room and events facility, Ptarmigan Vineyards. Come and visit us at one of our great locations in Western Colorado.  We invite you for a taste and tour of the winery in Cedaredge.  If you are visiting Palisade/Grand Junction, then coming from the south, Ptarmigan Vineyards is one of the first tasting rooms to visit in the valley! Ptarmigan Wines Pronounced (Tar-mi-gan) Ptarmigan wines focus on small lot production and ultra premium quality.  Our vineyard plantings date to 1982 making them some of the  oldest commercial vineyards in the state.
